Repeat Prescriptions

Binbrook is a dispensing practice.  We require 48 hours’ notice for all repeat prescriptions.

The quickest and easiest way to order your medication is through the NHS APP. You can also  access online medical services from our practice via SystmOnline which includes ordering repeat prescriptions. You can find links to these services on the right of this page.

If you wish to take advantage of these online services, please complete our sign up form also on the right of this page and bring it to the surgery with some form of photo ID and you will be provided with your log in details.

Alternatively leave the appropriate request slip at the surgery reception or letter box.

Please help us by always bringing any proof of prescription charge exemption with you when you collect your prescription.

All acute prescriptions for dispensing patients are dispensed for your immediate collection after your consultation.  Unfortunately we cannot dispense to patients that live within a mile of a community pharmacy.

To obtain medicines urgently when the surgery is closed contact 111.

PLEASE NOTE that in accordance with medico-legal advice and NHS Best Practice guidelines, we will no longer accept verbal requests for repeat prescriptions by telephone. Repeat prescriptions can be ordered in paper form, by handing your counterfoil in at the counter or posting your counterfoil or request to us. In addition, if you have access to the internet, you will be able to order your repeat medication online, as detailed above.

How to Obtain Your Medicines

If you live more than a mile away from the chemist and are on our dispensing list, you can obtain your medicines from the dispensary at the surgery. Our receptionists will tell new patients whether they are able to receive this service when they register with us.

If you collect your medication from a pharmacy, your prescription will be sent electronically directly to that pharmacy. This format means that you no longer get a print out prescription and that your medication will go directly to a pharmacy that you nominate. This will save you time by no longer needing to visit your doctors practice to collect the print-out and then need to go to the pharmacy to collect the medication

Branch Surgeries

The surgery does not have any branch surgeries.  However, if you wish, medications for Tealby residents can be left for collection at the Tealby Village Shop on a Tuesday.  Please inform the surgery when requesting medications.

Medication Reviews

Patients on repeat medication will be asked to see a doctor, nurse practitioner or practice nurse at least once a year to review these regular medications and notification should appear on your repeat slip.

Please ensure that you book an appropriate appointment to avoid unnecessary delays to further prescriptions.
